As part of the Western Australia’s Emergency Management Arrangements the Department has a welfare support role in emergencies.
Under the WA Emergency Management Act 2005 the Department is mandated to coordinate welfare support services to individuals and families impacted by an emergency.
This program will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

This is the Corporate Induction program which is compulsory for all staff, in all job roles, at all levels of the Department.
The program is a pre-requisite before attending any face to face training.It provides extensive information and resource links.
Staff using Departmental computers are guided to a range of other resources available only within the Department, including a number of short e-learning courses to be completed in the first weeks of employment.
Line managers and senior staff are requested to support recently appointed staff to complete this learning resource in their first two weeks of employment.
